Refunds and Returns Policy

Danbury & Co does not accept any returns, refunds, or exchanges once an order has been placed.
All jewellery pieces are carefully quality-checked before being packaged and couriered to you.
In the rare event that your item is faulty on arrival, please notify us immediately. Once we have assessed the issue, we can either:
• Replace your item with another, or
• Refund you for the purchase / issue store credit for future use.
Please note:
If your jewellery has been worn and later develops a fault, we cannot issue a refund or exchange, as it was not received in that condition.

Jewellery INFORMATION

Most of our pieces including gold-plated items are along the lines of costume imitation jewellery. This means that natural wear and tear is inevitable over time.

Gold-Plated Jewellery

Gold plating can fade gradually. The rate at which this occurs depends on several factors, including:
• Exposure to skincare products, perfumes, or chemicals
• Natural skin pH levels and perspiration
• Frequency of wear, storage, and moisture.

To extend the life of your jewellery, avoid contact with moisture and store your items carefully when not in use.

Jewellery with Stones

Jewellery featuring stones is delicate by nature. Each stone is securely set; however, as with all jewellers, we cannot guarantee that a stone will remain firmly in place forever. Natural loosening may occur over time due to handling and wear.

925 Sterling Silver

• Our 925 Sterling Silver rings are water-resistant, not waterproof.
• Non-plated sterling silver may become dull with time, but it can be polished to restore its shine.
• If your sterling silver piece is gold-plated, the plating can fade with exposure to water, sweat, or moisture.
• The ring itself will not tarnish, but the gold plating may wear off gradually depending on use and care.

Alloy & 18K Plated Jewellery

These items have a brass base coated with gold plating. They are not water-friendly, and any exposure to water or moisture may cause the plating to fade or the base metal to tarnish.

Jewellery Care

Our jewellery metals vary from stainless steel to alloy, many of which are gold-plated. These are more resistant to colour loss than non-plated items, but still require proper care.

To increase longevity:
• Avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions, and other moisture.
• Remove jewellery before exercising, swimming, or showering.
• Store your pieces in the PVC zipper bags provided — these are designed to keep your jewellery air- and moisture-resistant, while allowing for compact and safe storage.

Shipping Policy

• Free courier applies to non-sale orders above R1000 only.
• Sale items do not qualify for free courier, regardless of the total order value. Standard courier fees apply. All orders require 2–3 business days for processing and packaging (excluding the day of purchase). Once dispatched, delivery takes approximately 3–7 working days via Fastway Couriers.

Please note:
• Once your parcel has been dispatched, we have no direct control over the courier company.
• Delivery times may vary due to unforeseen delays or communication issues from the courier.
• It is the customer’s responsibility to remain reachable and track their parcel during delivery.

Out-of-Stock Item Policy

If any item in your order is found to be out of stock, we will promptly issue a full refund for that specific item. All other in-stock items will continue to be processed and shipped as per your original order.
